6th Annual St. Lawrence Valley Snowshoe Biathlon
Our event will again be held on March 3 and 4, 2018 at the St. Lawrence Valley Sportsman’s Club. The Biathlon will begin promptly at 10:00 A.M. and conclude at 2:00 P.M. on both days. The Sportsman’s Club is located at 25 Sportsman Club Road, off State Highway 37 about 4 miles east of Ogdensburg, NY. Enclosed, please find a copy of the Registration Form, Official Rules for the event and a lodging guide.
The Snowshoe Biathlon will feature the flowing classes:
Elder (over 60)
Participants may shoot in the Primitive Rifle (flint/cap), Primitive Smoothbore (flint/cap) and In-Line divisions. Those participating in the Primitive divisions must run or walk the course on wooden snowshoes; In line shooters may run on either modern or wooden snowshoes. A change for this year is that In-Line shooters may use a scope or open sights. Primitive shooters will be scored separately from In-Line shooters. Medals will be presented to the 1st , 2nd and 3rd place shooters.
Hot food, baked goods and beverages will be available during the event.
