Founder’s Weekend 2019

Beautiful [but very hot] weather greeted this year’s happening on Founder’s Weekend. A spirited group of reenactors provided the highlight to the weekend as usual. An ambush/skirmish, naval, and land battles were all carried out. Jack Frost narrated the land battles again.

The first public viewing of the new Fort la Presentation footprint was another highlight. Thanks to Fiacco Construction for completing the footprint despite the high water and resulting wet land.

In 2018 Christopher and Shirley Rutherford donated a rock memorial honoring Masons who had served their nation. A dedication ceremony was held this year on Saturday.
