Northern New York history, genealogy

As pictured above, I have two, three-volume sets of books in my home library that would be of interest to Ogdensburg area historians and genealogists, and which I have now located on line, accessible to anyone at no charge.
The first is “Genealogical and Family History of Northern New York” in three volumes of 1,247 pages, compiled under the editorial supervision of William Richard Cutter, A.M. The set was published in 1910.
Cutter was historian of the New England Historic-Genealogical Society, librarian emeritus of Woburn (MA) Public Library, and author of “The Cutter Family,” “History of Arlington,” and, “Bibliography of Woburn.”
The set is hosted by familysearch.org, offering one of the largest collections of genealogical records, education, and software. It is operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and is closely connected with the church’s Family History Department. Access is free by signing up at the website. Then, click one of the following links, which will require you to log into Family Search. Once you do, click under the title page at left “View all pages…”

Volume 2: https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/records/item/391565-redirection
Volume 3: https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/records/item/216798-redirection
The second set of books is “The North Country, a history embracing Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Oswego, Lewis and Franklin Counties, New York” by Harry F. Landon, managing editor of the Watertown Daily Times.
The books, totaling 1,647 pages, are free to access if you have a membership to Ancestry.com. But if you don’t, they are accessible through Hathi Trust Digital Library. The trust is a collaboration of the the universities of the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (now the Big Ten Academic Alliance) and the University of California system to establish a repository to archive and share their digitized collections.
