Since 2000, the Fort La Présentation Association has sponsored a re-enactment on Van Rensselaer (Lighthouse) Point to commemorate Ogdensburg’s French colonial history and the French and Indian War. The Fort La Présentation Association is pleased to announce the rebranding of our French and Indian War Living History event as “Le Siège du Fort de La Présentation.”
Our Association is seeking your support for our July 16-17, 2022 event. With the generosity of donors such as yourself, we will be able to promote our region’s rich history while contributing to the reconstruction of Fort de la Présentation. Sponsors will be recognized in the press, Facebook, program and on the Fort Association Web site.
Our Ogdensburg reenactment is a favorite venue for re-enactors, heritage interpreters, and spectators from the United States and Canada to camp, re-enact and participate. These annual visitors to Ogdensburg support local businesses through the purchase of groceries, gasoline, meals and other goods and services. Given the pandemic and this time of inflation our area can use the boost to the economy that events such as ours brings in.
